It’s time for Round 2 of the National Industry PhD Program! Applications are open now and close on 4 August 2023.
This exciting program will forge new pathways to connect the worlds of academia and industry, opening the door to an array of new career opportunities for PhD candidates.
Research conducted under the program is co-designed between industry and a university to help foster these deeper connections between universities and industry partners.
The National Industry PhD Program has two streams.
- The Industry Linked PhD stream offers PhD candidates at universities a stipend boost and support to work on research projects co-designed by universities and industry.
- The Industry Researcher PhD stream supports researchers employed by Australian businesses to do a PhD while retaining their job and salary in industry.
The Industry Linked PhD stream will deliver 12 weeks of quality training to PhD candidates to help them gain a deeper understanding of industry needs.
For those currently working in industry, the Industry Research PhD stream allows them to do a PhD while still keeping their full pay, benefits and job throughout their studies.
PhD candidates participating in the National Industry PhD Program will be at the forefront of translating university research into commercialisation opportunities.
